Hugo’s: Five-course tasting menu

European fine-dining restaurant Hugo’s at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui is serving up a five-course tasting menu from now until 31 August, offering you and your dad a scrumptious “farm-to-table” experience featuring the best of seasonal and locally grown organic ingredients, presented by new chef Eric Taluy. At HK$1,250 per person, the menu highlights include the pan-seared Atlantic Boston lobster with homemade crozets pasta – a small and square-shaped flat pasta originating from the French chef’s hometown of Savoie – served with local organic cress, and a beurre blanc sauce.

Not to mention the roasted organic baby lamb rack, which is coated with mixed fresh herbs and served with French mustard, breadcrumbs, a sambre et meuse sauce, gnocchi, and local organic vegetables.

No meal is complete without wine. Raise a glass to the man of the house and enjoy perfectly paired wines with your loving dad at a supplement of HK$620. Subject to a 10% service charge.

Sha Tin 18: Seasonal menu with a tatse of summer

Superlative Chinese gourmet food. Make the day extra special with Sha Tin 18’s summer menu and its all-new seasonal specialties, brought to you by Chinese chef de cuisine Ho Chun-hung.

Start with the chilled abalone with marinated cabbage and yellow pepper chilli sauce that promises to whet your appetite for more. The shredded cabbage is first softened with salt and then marinated with abalone, Thai yellow pepper chilli, carrot, chilli oil, garlic, vinegar and salt for 12 hours or more to bring out the freshness, giving it a refreshing and irresistible flavour to beat the summer heat.

Given the great success of his popular homemade sauce, Preserved green beans and wild chilli sauce, Chef Ho uses it to create Baked eel, wild chilli, plum cordia, lemongrass, which results in a soft but firm texture with subtle spiciness and the perfect aroma.

Round out the lovely night with innovative delights such as the Chinese preserved bean curd cheese puff, Baked pineapple hawthorn pastry, and refreshing homemade Almond milk, silver fungus, papaya ice cream.

Café East: Dinner buffet that features a fusion of delicacies

Sagano celebrates Father’s Day with a seven-course Kaiseki dinner menu at HK$1,500 per person. Presented by head chef Noka Masahiko, the Kaiseki set features fresh bean curd skin with sea urchin, torched scallops, and spicy miso marinated asparagus as starters, followed by fatty tuna plus a range of sashimi, stewed Wagyu, grilled eel, abalone and tempura, as well as sea urchin and salmon roe rice.
