Do you have a signature touch with your designs?
J: I believe “design to inspire life”. I hope my design can humanize our lives. With a little dose of creative malleability, ordinary objects surrounding us can be converted into a brand new exciting life experience. This is why I often make my design innovative for people to create fresh modes of thinking and reinvent life.

J: I really love design creation. Sometimes I would imagine myself as a director where space is my script and the mixture of my designs, collectables and furnishings will evoke emotion of my audience and situate them in the story. My designs elevate my lifestyle and make me learn how to enjoy life. Everything I have experienced and every book I have read have invoked a storm of inspirations that come into play on my creations.

J: Different colors and textures express a different story and sentiment. Each color has a unique character. The mixture of color, texture, space and lighting can create a distinctive ambience. As a designer, I often remind myself to explore new colors and textures. I personally like soft colors. However, I will not have a tendency to pick my favorite colors as this will limit my creativity and opportunity to try out new creations.

J: I believe bespoke design that reflects unique personality will go mainstream. Designers will shift the trend away from archetypes, transcend the popular trends and gravitate towards uncharted styles.
